Objectionable Content Policy

What this policy is for
Footy Skillz is built for kids and families. This policy spells out what we will not tolerate on the platform, how we moderate, and what you can do if you see something that doesn't belong.
Zero tolerance — immediate removal and account termination
The following content is never allowed and results in immediate removal of the content, suspension or permanent termination of the account, and where appropriate, a report to law enforcement:
- Sexual content involving anyone, especially minors.
- Content sexualizing, exploiting, or grooming minors.
- Violence, threats of violence, or self-harm content.
- Hate speech targeting a person or group based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
- Harassment, bullying, or doxxing (sharing someone's private information).
- Content that endangers the safety of a minor in any way.
- Promotion of illegal activity.
- Impersonation of another person.
Not allowed — content is removed
Less severe but still not permitted:
- Off-topic content. Footy Skillz is for soccer skill content. Other sports, random vlogs, and unrelated material are removed.
- Profanity in handles, captions, or comments.
- Spam, scams, or commercial promotion without authorization.
- Copyright infringement.
How we moderate
- Every comment, mention, and handle is checked by an automated moderation system at write time. Obvious violations are blocked before they post.
- Every user can report any clip, drill, comment, or profile via the report button. Reports go to a queue reviewed by our moderators.
- We respond to reports involving safety of minors within 24 hours. Other reports are typically reviewed within 72 hours.
- We may remove content without prior notice when severity warrants it. The user whose content was removed is notified and given the reason.
How to report
- Report a clip or drill: tap the three-dot menu, choose Report, pick a reason.
- Report a comment: tap the three-dot menu on the comment, choose Report.
- Report a user: open their profile, tap Report.
- Block a user: open their profile, tap Block. Blocking is separate from reporting and hides both directions.
- Urgent / safety issue: email contact@footyskillz.com directly. Subject line "URGENT — safety" gets priority routing.
What happens after a report
- Your report is logged with the reason you selected. You are NOT identified to the reported user.
- A moderator reviews the content. Possible outcomes: content removed, account warned, account suspended, account terminated, or no action (with reason logged).
- If action affects the reported user, they are notified and told why. If you submitted the report, you may receive a follow-up email when the case closes.
Appeals
If your content was removed or your account was suspended and you believe it was a mistake, email contact@footyskillz.com with the subject "Moderation appeal" and the relevant content or account details. We respond within 7 days.
Parents and guardians
If you are the parent of an account-holder under 16 and you believe inappropriate content has been directed at your child, you have an additional option: pause your child's account immediately from settings, then email us so we can investigate without ongoing exposure to the child.
